How much time does this course actually take each week?
The course runs 21.5 hours across 7 modules and 1 assessment, available online via Zoom or in person at the Lifelong Learning Institute, structured to possibly fit around a full-time job rather than requiring you to take time off work.
Is this course too basic if I already use AI tools casually at work?
Not if you’re using AI without a structured approach. The course moves from fundamentals into prompt engineering and practical application, so even casual users typically pick up gaps in how they currently use these tools.
Will I fall behind if I miss a session due to work commitments?
No. You can attend a makeup class from another intake, subject to availability, or catch up by watching the recorded session. Do note that only attending a live makeup class counts toward your attendance, watching the recording alone does not. Most SSG-funded courses require a minimum attendance of 75% to qualify for funding, so if work commitments mean missing more than one session, it’s worth planning makeup classes in advance to stay eligible. What subsidies can reduce the cost for me as a working adult?
Singapore Citizens and PRs can access SSG subsidies of up to 70%. Eligible learnerscan further reduce costs using SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA, and UTAP.
