Claude AI Subsidy Singapore: Claim 50% Off Your Subscription

The Claude AI subsidy in Singapore is available to NTUC members who complete a UTAP-approved Generative AI Workflow Automation course. Vertical Institute’s AI programme qualifies, giving members access to 50% UTAP support on both course fees and Claude AI subscription costs.

How the Claude AI Subsidy Works for NTUC Members

Claude is one of 21 AI tools approved for UTAP subscription support under the AI-Ready SG initiative. NTUC members who complete a UTAP-approved course can claim 50% support on both the course fee and their Claude AI subscription.

Step 1: Complete a UTAP-approved course

Enrol in Vertical Institute’s Generative AI Workflow Automation (Level 2) course. Government subsidies are applied to the course fee first. NTUC members then claim 50% UTAP support on the remaining balance, up to S$500 per year for members aged 40 and above, or S$250 for those under 40.

Step 2: Subscribe to Claude AI

After completing the course, subscribe to Claude AI within one year. Submit a separate UTAP claim for 50% of your subscription cost.

Step 3: Submit your claims within the window

Both the course completion and subscription must fall between 1 May 2026 and 30 April 2028. Claims must be filed within 6 months of each respective date. Claude must remain on NTUC’s approved tool list at the time of subscription, as the list is reviewed periodically.

Who Can Claim the Claude AI Subsidy

Not every NTUC member automatically qualifies, and the subsidy only applies within a specific window. Before you enrol, check that you meet all of the following:

You’re an NTUC member
You complete a UTAP-approved course at Vertical Institute [confirm course name]
You subscribe to Claude AI within 1 year of course completion
Your course completion and subscription both fall between 1 May 2026 and 30 April 2028
You file each claim within 6 months of the relevant date

If you meet these conditions, you can claim UTAP support on your course fee and your Claude AI subscription separately, each capped at S$500 per year if you’re 40 or above, or S$250 per year if you’re under 40. This UTAP subsidy is separate from SkillsFuture subsidies, which may also reduce your course fee. Most learners combine both.
