Attended the Data Analytics Bootcamp. Course instructor Clarence was experienced and knowledgeable in this space, backed by his real life experience (employed by big tech company) in data analytics and data science.

Who is eligible for UTAP?

UTAP eligibility extends to all NTUC members in good standing and meeting the course requirements. This includes having a paid-up union membership before course commencement, during the course, and at the time of the claim. Additionally, the course must not be funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding, and the unfunded course fee must be at least S$20.

How do I apply for UTAP?

UTAP claims must be submitted within six months of course completion. You can apply through NTUC’s portal by logging into your account, navigating to ‘e-Services,’ and submitting the UTAP application form and the necessary documentation.

When can I receive my UTAP funding?

After submitting your claim, UTAP funding is typically processed and delivered within 4 to 6 weeks. Ensure all required documents are submitted to avoid delays or rejection of your claim.

Is there a limit to the number of courses I can claim under UTAP?

Yes, there is a limit to how much you can claim annually under UTAP. Regular NTUC members can claim up to S$250 per year, while members aged 40 and above can claim up to S$500 per year, capped at 50% of the unfunded course fee.

What other subsidies are available in Singapore?

In addition to UTAP funding, Singaporeans can benefit from several other subsidy schemes to support lifelong learning and professional development. SkillsFuture Credits provides additional funding specifically for educational purposes, helping individuals engage in lifelong learning to upskill and reskill.
