What is SkillsFuture Credit?
SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) is designed to encourage and cultivate lifelong learning. Singaporeans can use SFC to fund out-of-pocket course fees for skills-related courses. These credits can also be used on top of existing course fee subsidies provided by the government, like the IBF subsidy.

Who is eligible for SkillsFuture?
SkillsFuture Credits are exclusive and only available for Singaporeans aged 25 and above. New Singapore citizens aged 25 and above are also eligible once they receive their citizenship.
Permanent Residents (PRs) are not eligible.
How much is the SkillsFuture grant?
Opening SkillsFuture CreditAll Singapore Citizens receive an opening credit of $500 when they turn 25. This credit can be used for all our SkillsFuture courses.
SkillsFuture Credit 2020 Top-upSingapore Citizens aged 25 and above (as of 31 December 2020) received a $500 top-up. This credit expires on 31 December 2025.
Additional Mid-Career Support CreditSingapore Citizens aged 40 to 60 (as of 31 December 2020) received an additional $500 under the Mid-Career Support Credit.
Mid-Career SkillsFuture CreditSingapore Citizens aged 40 and above (as of 2024) receive the Mid-Career SkillsFuture Credit of $4,000. This credit fall in the same bracket as the “Additional Mid-Career Support Credit”

How to Check SkillsFuture Credits Balance
Here’s the quick steps to check your balance:
- Step 1 : Go to the MySkillsFuture Portal & click login.
- Step 2 : Proceed to login with your SingPass.
- Step 3 : Go to the SkillsFuture Credit page.
- Step 4 : Check your SkillsFuture Credit balance.
How to Claim SkillsFuture Credits
SkillsFuture Credits are disbursed directly to training providers. Training providers that offer SFC-eligible courses will collect nett course fees from applicants, after offsetting the SFC to be used. Applicants who sign up for SkillsFuture-funded courses will be required to provide supporting documents as part of the claims submission process. SFC claims applications may be submitted by logging in through MySkillsFuture.gov.sg.
Once you have chosen a programme you want to enrol in, you have to first register for it with the training provider. Upon successful enrolment into the course, you can then check and submit a claim for SkillsFuture Credits.
- Step 1 : Login to MySkillsFuture Portal with your SingPass
- Step 2 : Go to the SkillsFuture Credit page
- Step 3 : Click on “Proceed to Submit a Claim”
- Step 4 : Click on “View More” for enrolled courses and select the course you want to claim SkillsFuture Credits for
- Step 5 : Click on “Submit Claim”
- Step 6 : Key in your payment details and upload supporting documents
- Step 7 : Submit
