Who is eligible for SkillsFuture?
SkillsFuture Credits are exclusive and only available for Singaporeans aged 25 and above. New Singapore citizens aged 25 and above are also eligible once they receive their citizenship.
Permanent Residents (PRs) are not eligible.
How much is the SkillsFuture grant?
Opening SkillsFuture Credit of $5ar00
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above in 2016 would have received an opening credit of S$500. Singapore citizens below 25 in 2016 will receive the same credits the year they turn 25. This opening credit does not have an expiry.
One-Off SkillFuture Credit Top-Up
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above as of 31 December 202 would receive a one-off SkillFuture Credit top-up of S$500. This was to further inspire Singaporeans to up skill and broaden their opportunities in the future economy.
Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)
To support individuals’ access to career transition programs, another one-off SkillsFuture Credit of S$500 was provided to every Singaporean aged 40 to 60 as of December 2020

How to Claim SkillsFuture Credits
SkillsFuture Credits are disbursed directly to training providers. Training providers that offer SFC-eligible courses will collect nett course fees from applicants, after offsetting the SFC to be used. Applicants who sign up for SkillsFuture-funded courses will be required to provide supporting documents as part of the claims submission process. SFC claims applications may be submitted by logging in through MySkillsFuture.gov.sg.
Once you have chosen a programme you want to enrol in, you have to first register for it with the training provider. Upon successful enrolment into the course, you can then check and submit a claim for SkillsFuture Credits.
1. Login to MySkillsFuture Portal with your SingPass
2. Go to the SkillsFuture Credit page
3. Click on “Proceed to Submit a Claim”
4. Click on “View More” for enrolled courses and select the course you want to claim SkillsFuture Credits for
5. Click on “Submit Claim”
6. Key in your payment details and upload supporting documents
7. Submit

How do I claim my SkillsFuture Credits?
1 – Go to https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg and log in using your SingPass
2 – Click on the arrow next to your name and select “SkillsFuture Credit”
3 – Click on “Proceed to Submit a Claim”
4 – Key in “Vertical Institute”
5 – Select the course that you signed up for
6 – Enter the start date of the course that you signed up form then scroll down
7a – With 90% funding: Fill in both fields
- On the left, key in the amount payable by you after the IBF funding support ($425)
- On the right, key in the amount you want to claim using SkillsFuture Credits
- If you are claiming the full amount of $425, please input $425 under amount of credit to claim
7b – With 70% funding: Fill in both fields
- On the left, key in the amount payable by you after the IBF funding support ($925)
- On the right, key in the amount you want to claim using SkillsFuture Credits
- If you are claiming the full amount of $295, please input $925 under amount of credit to claim
8 – Upload the invoice sent to you by your Admissions Manager
9 – Click submit. It takes up to 3 hours for the claim to be successful. Please login again to take the approved screenshot of the claim submission. Lastly, submit it to your Admissions Manager.
