A leading bank observed rising attrition in its credit card segment, particularly among low-tier cardholders and specific demographic groups. This capstone project was initiated to explore customer churn patterns through data analytics, using a real-world dataset to uncover key behavioral and demographic drivers behind credit card cancellations.
The goal was to identify at-risk customer segments and deliver actionable retention strategies. By leveraging Tableau for visual analytics and applying churn analysis techniques, the project aimed to guide the bank in designing personalized interventions—such as improving entry-tier products and early reactivation efforts—to reduce customer churn and enhance long-term customer value.
