Onsite Career Workshops – Learning in Action
In 2025, our workshops came to life through strong partnerships with organisations like Partipost, e2i, and the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI).
Together, we created spaces for Singaporeans at every stage of their careers to explore side hustles, AI, and career development in practical, hands-on ways.
Turning Passions into Side Hustles
In February, in partnership with Partipost, we hosted a side hustle workshop featuring the Weebling siblings. As entrepreneurs and content creators, they shared candid insights on turning passion projects into sustainable income streams, while attendees picked up valuable networking and growth tips.
Exploring AI and Data in Practice
Held in July and August at the Lifelong Learning Institute, experts like Lindsay Sunhendra Jap and Yeeling Chua simplified complex AI and data concepts. From building AI-generated content to using data storytelling, participants saw how these skills can unlock new career paths. Sessions also tackled responsible AI, with engaging discussions on privacy and ethics.
Career Marketplaces
During May–June, career marketplaces run in partnership with e2i extended support beyond the classroom. Visitors received one-on-one career consultations, resume guidance, and interview practice, alongside mini-workshops on AI tools and data analytics.

Zirong, who joined our Cybersecurity Course, shared:
“Cyber is the in thing, and it’s probably going to be the future. Upskilling myself is important. I took the Cybersecurity course at Vertical Institute, and it was a good introduction to all aspects of the field. It motivated me to go further — I continued with Certified Cybersecurity and then TISSP. I’d recommend getting those qualifications on top of the bootcamp because together they give a more complete picture of cybersecurity and how to keep upskilling in this space.”

“Why still need data-driven analysis? That’s what humans can give, not AI. The instructor explained that AI can only answer based on the instructions you feed it. That’s why it’s important to upskill first — to really know the skills and what they do. Only then can you guide AI properly. Because at the end of the day, AI only does what you tell it to do.”
Vasantha, now an IT consultant, credited her data analytics upskilling for her career shift:
“Before this role, I was working at DBS as a call centre agent, which wasn’t really aligned with my background. I wanted to stay relevant and upgrade my skills, so I enrolled in the Data Analytics course. My hiring managers were impressed — they saw the dedication and the certification I had earned, and I think that contributed to me getting hired quite quickly into this IT consultant role.”
