Notion AI is among the 21.5 tools approved for UTAP subscription support under the AI-Ready SG initiative. For knowledge professionals, project managers, and teams who use Notion as their central workspace, part of the subscription cost can now be offset through UTAP, provided members take the qualifying steps first.

The first requirement is completing a UTAP-approved AI course. Vertical Institute’s Generative AI (Level 1) meets that condition, and doing so gives NTUC members access to two claims within a shared annual cap:

UTAP support on your course fee – After government subsidies reduce the course fee, NTUC members file a UTAP claim for 50% support on the remaining balance. Members aged 40 and above have an annual cap of $500; those under 40 have a cap of $250.

UTAP support on your Notion AI subscription – Within one year of finishing the course, members can subscribe to Notion AI and submit a UTAP claim for 50% support on the subscription cost. The subscription must begin between 1 May 2026 and 30 April 2028, and the claim must reach NTUC within 6 months of the subscription start date.

Notion AI must be on NTUC’s approved list at the time of subscription, as the list is reviewed periodically. The subscription is for personal use only and must be declared as such when submitting the claim. Any submission outside the 6-month window will not be processed.

Note that completing the course does not automatically extend your eligibility to 2028; if your one-year window closes before that date, that is your effective deadline. Subscriptions activated before 1 May 2026 are not eligible, regardless of when the course was completed.

What happens if I miss the 6-month claim deadline?

UTAP claims submitted more than 6 months after your subscription start date are automatically rejected. No extensions are granted. Record your subscription start date as soon as you subscribe and file the claim well within the window.

Do I need prior experience with Notion to join this course?

No. The Generative AI (Level 1) course is open to working adults across all industries and experience levels. It starts from generative AI fundamentals and does not require any prior experience with Notion or other productivity tools.

How do I reserve my place, and what is the refund policy?

Secure your place by paying a S$10.90 registration fee (inclusive of GST) on the Vertical Institute website. This fee is non-refundable. Course fee refunds follow a tiered schedule based on withdrawal timing: a full refund for withdrawals more than 14 days before the course starts, 50% for 7 to 14 days prior, and no refund within 7 days or once the course has commenced.
